Why choose us?

Inspire

Having a music teacher who is not only knowledgeable but also passionate about their craft can make a huge difference in a child’s music education. At Borders School of Music, we understand the importance of having role models who can inspire students to become better musicians. Our Rockschool tutors are not only experienced musicians themselves, but they are also trained to be effective educators who can help students develop their musical skills and creativity.

Motivate

Our lessons are designed in a way to keep the student engaged. We pride ourselves in being able to tailor the learning experience; going at a pace and playing or singing pieces of music that are favourites, all of which will keep students motivated to continue learning. Whether the student is just starting out as a beginner or is already an advanced musician, our tutors can provide personalised instruction and guidance to help them reach their full potential, with a focus on building a love of music that lasts a lifetime.

Learn

We offer classes for all ages from pre-school all the way through to retirement age and also provide a music service for schools who are looking for a long term solution for in school music education. We are a registered exam centre with Trinity College London and follow their syllabus and have complete access to the library of material from Trinity’s Rock&Pop series. Graded exams are available for students who want to focus their studies and test their abilities.
