Our younger beginner guitarists start out on Ukulele which is a smaller guitar instrument with 4 nylon strings. The small neck and softer strings on this guitar makes it a great introductory instrument for learning the guitar. We will learn how to play all the basic chords and the fundamentals of playing to a pulse and rhythm. We will then put all this altogether and play the chord progressions of your favourite songs.

On our guitar course you will learn the anatomy of the acoustic and electric guitar and how to tune the instrument. We will learn all the basic chords you will need to play most popular songs from artists like Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi and James Arthur. As we work through these songs we will learn all about rhythm, guitar techniques and tips and tricks which you will need as you progress further on your musical journey.

You may have been learning guitar already and looking to expand your playing. We will look at scales, the building blocks of music, and use these to improvise. For example, we will learn the minor pentatonic, a popular scale on guitar, and put this scale into practice, improvising over backing tracks. We will also deconstruct the chords that you already know giving you a rundown of the theory behind these chords and we will also build on your chord vocabulary.

We are registered exam centre with Trinity College London and we follow their syllabus and they have provided us with a large library of material to use when teaching. Exams are available for students who want to achieve grades.
