Matt started teaching 15 years ago when he was based in Warwickshire. He was a peripatetic piano teacher working with the Warwickshire Music Service. He also ran his own private piano tuition business. Matt took a break from teaching to work a session musician in London for 10 years and has recently returned to the borders to start teaching music again.
